Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

SUMMARY

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third book in the Harry Potter series, where Harry is in his third year at Hogwarts.

This book starts with Harry blowing up his aunt Marge, who was talking ill about his parents. After that he leaves the house and ventures in the dark street without any plan on where to go, when he sees a black dog, which he comes to know later that as the omen of death.

On and on he comes to know that a mass murderer has escaped from Azkaban and is after him. What with the “lovely” dementors being stationed at Hogwarts, a killer at loose, and a new professor who seems to be hiding something, Harry’s third year at Hogwarts is going to be far more than just interesting and adventurous.

REVIEW

If one notices, this book has gotten a bit darker, compared to the first two books, what with the book covers and even the movie poster. It has happened because here the trio has grown up a bit more and are moving on from their innocent childhood to the phase of being mature. It could be understood through their choice of words and situations they had to face.

And the reason this is my favorite book amongst the Harry Potter series is that it doesn’t consist anything about Lord Voldemort, except his few significant (and important) mentions here and there.

It is indeed an amazing book and would highly recommend to everyone who loves books and haven’t read this yet.
